You will receive a lovely photo album from your photographer or you will make your own - and if you're really clever and creative, you will use scrapbooking details. Your memories are forever captured and stored away, ready at a moment's notice to be opened to remind you of your wedding day. Sure, decades later, your children may joke with you about the fashions of the day, but your photos are a permanent reminder of the day you married your prince charming.
But - your beautiful bouquet will wilt and die. Now, there are a number of ways you can preserve it and this is just one of them.
Dry the flowers in the usual way (hanging upside down), separate out the petals and place them in a clear glass or plastic Christmas tree bauble. Use glitter if you think it needs it. Reseal.
The same can be done with your Wedding Invitations, Save the Dates etc. Cut into strips, roll each strip around a pencil to make curls, then place into the Christmas bauble.
Then each Christmas you have a reminder, right there on your tree, of your Wedding Day.
How easy is that??
I just love family traditions and you could start one right here with this. Make enough to pass on to your children and grandchildren (looking way into the future now).
If you have seen or done anything interesting with your bouquet, please share with us.
